Tyler Bell just left Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, where he
stopped to see if the drake Barrow's Goldeneye was around this morning.
Tyler ranged up and down the river as much as the trails allowed from
6:45 to 7:15 a.m., seeing plenty of Common Goldeneyes, but not the
Barrow's. We have never tried this early (Tyler found it around 9 on
Saturday, and we found it on Sunday at 8 a.m.), so maybe it will come in
from somewhere a bit later.
Tyler said the conditions on the river were perfect--dead flat calm,
excellent light, etc.
