I went to the Mason Neck NWR today to check on waterfowl. The marsh and
river seemed pretty well frozen.
We saw a lot of Tundra swans huddled together on the ice, a bunch ( 10+ )
bald eagles flying around or siting on the ice,
crows, and some gulls. We did not see any ducks, nor open water. But,it is
supposed to be 50 degrees tomorrow.
