Hi all,
       I stopped briefly at the pond off Tuckerman Ln about 1pm.  The White fronted goose was absent, and the flock seemed smaller. I looked through the fence at GP; no geese grazing-
  Back at the pond, surprise visitors were 3 Hooded Mergansers.(2 male 1 female.)  
  Here's a list:
   
  20 Canada Geese
  3 Hooded Mergansers ( rare visitors in Bethesda)
  12 Mallards
  1 Great Blue Heron
  2 Song Sparrows
  1 White throated Sparrow
  3 Crows
  1 Cardinal
