   Did brief bird walk this morning in Rock Creek near Grovesnor Metro. Found the usual winter birds, plus a surprise 5 Purple Finches.

  1 White brst Nuthatch
  1 Red bellied Woodpecker 
  2 Downy Woodpeckers
  5-6 Turkey Vultures (feeding on deer carcass)
  2 Black Vultures
  3 Red tailed Hawks (1ad   2 imm)
  5 Dark eyed Juncos
  10 White throated sparrows
  1 Song Sparrow
  2 Cardinals
  10 American Robins
  2 Cedar Waxwings
  1 Common Crow
  1 Winter Wren
  3 Carolina Wren
