Dan Small and I did see the shrike today at about 1230. It had moved away from the public roads onto private inaccessible parts of Chino Farm, but not a great distance. However, since it has been moving around a bit it could well move back out to the Kibler Rd area again.
In response to Leo Weigant's post about prior year's shrikes- We (Foreman's Branch Bird Observatory on Chino Farm) did band an immature Northern Shrike (as Doug Gill mentioned) last November. Additionally, we had a different individual (adult) winter on the 200+ acre restored grasslands on the property.
