Dana Bronecke and I birded Bayside this morning.  Surf Scoter, Red-breasted Merganser, and Northern Gannet (seen in the distance over the ocean) are new for our weekly counts this fall.  Full lists are below...

Double-crested Cormorants: 5 were flying N, low over the water; 384 were flying S, mostly high in flocks.
