A small group I led on a bird walk this morning to Lilypons Water
Gardens in Frederick County several times heard a Sora call, and we
thought that there might perhaps be two birds there. We didn't see
one, however.

Nice actual sightings for our group, which was sponsored by the MD/DC
Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, were of very large groups of Tree
Swallows, numbering over 250 by our count, a late Green Heron, a
female Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and single Northern Parula and
Black-throated Green Warbler. A pair of Red-shouldered Hawks,
accompanied by one young bird, were very visible and vocal. No great
number of sparrows, yet, but we did see one Savannah.
