Hello all,
I dropped by the Fort for a very brief 15 minute scan for the WEKI. No WEKI.
But I did manage to locate a DARK-EYED JUNCO walking along the stone
wall nearest the marsh on the Southwestern portion of the park. It
may very likely have been a female of the OREGONIAN variety, as I
noticed a great deal of tan on the back and the sides, along with a
slight hood. I've never seen one of the Oregon DE Juncos, and I
simply did not get a prolonged enough view to call it as such.
If you're in the area, do keep an eye out.
Good Birding,
