Yesterday, July 7, I went over to the cattle field to pick up my first
Talbot County Cattle Egret sightings for 2008, and twelve of them were
gathered around a pond in the field.  The cattle were back in the woods away
from the bright morning sun.

On July 1 I noticed several Cattle Egret at the cattle farm on the
Bozman-Neavitt Road. Last year I found them in July as well. I gather it is
an annual post-breeding flock. The only spot in the County at which I have
seen them.
