I hit Kenilworth Park and the Aquatic Gardens this (Mon, 5/26) morning.
While KP was relatively quiet at first, persistence paid off in the form of
a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW (actually one of the first birds I heard) and ALDER
FLYCATCHER. At KAG, the highlight was a pair of YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS
walking around the ponds before being flushed by photographers.
Other birds of note were a FIELD SPARROW, a SAVANNAH SPARROW, and a
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT at KP.
Full list has been entered into ebird.
Good birding
