During a two-hour stroll this morning on American Chestnut Land Trust trails in
Port Republic (south of Parker's Creek) we observed one male HOODED
WARBLER, two OVENBIRDS, one singing PARULA, two LOUISIANA
WATERTHRUSHES, several HERMIT THRUSHES, several BLUE-GRAY
GNATCATCHERS, one EASTERN KINGBIRD, and many CHIPPING SPARROWS. The
YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER continues to sing around our cabin.
