Weather: Mostly sunny skies in the morning gave way to partly cloudy skies in the
afternoon; a balmy 51-67 degrees; fair to good visibility; favorable winds
all day, SW, WSW, SSW or W, 8-16 mph gusting to 24 mph
Raptor Observations:
An afternoon flight, perhaps because the birds could be seen better after
the tough sunny skies in the morning
Non-raptor Observations: An Osprey pair has now returned to the nest at the Park. Butterflies: Mourning Cloak, Anglewing, Cabbage White. One dragonfly;

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on
Wednesdays.
