I photographed the Red-necked Grebe on Wilde Lake this PM with a 600mm lens.
It was a long ways out, and the enlargement fuzzy, but one photo seems to
show the top mandible curving to the right and down, over the lower mandible.
It is odd indeed. Congratulations to June Tveekrem for first noticing
something strange here.
Wonder what kind of cones that guy has been breaking into!
