Jeff Culler and I saw the bird, a female, about 10:52 AM today at the
feeder. We were inside the center watching through a large window.
It had been seen earlier around 9:00 AM and again at 9:40 AM. Two birds, a
male and a female were seen on Sunday and the female has been seen daily
since then. The viewing is great, out of the wind and weather, but the bird
is skittish so you need to stay back from the window. It stayed for about
three minutes on the feeding tray and then flew off to the left.
This is a delightful nature center, along with boardwalk through some old
bald cypress trees. And the staff were very helpful.
