At 10 am yesterday, 12/28, thin ice remained around the edge of the open 
water. Birds seen were

Canada Goose 162
Amer. Black Duck 90
Mallard 45
Northern Pintail 3 (male)
Green winged Teal 70 - probably will leave with the first hard freeze
Bald Eagle 2 (juvenile and adult)
Amer. Coot 1 and
Killdeer 3.
