Good Morning,
I'm pleased to report that yesterday around 10:00 a.m. the MCC crew at
Merkle spotted the first white crowned sparrow of the seaon at Merkle
Wildlife Sanctuary's visitor center feeders. Later in the day we
spotted a merlin perching on our fence right around our feeders. There
seem to also be a number of bluebirds over wintering here as well. The
Canada Geese don't seem to be as plentiful this year, most likely due
to the drought and unseasonably warm weather, but they are still a
sight to see!
