Hello,

The Yellow-crowned night herons in Sligo Creek park in Silver Spring have
reproduced successfully again this year.  There was an immature hopping
around the creek this afternoon.  One adult was in the nest, but I could not
see any other youngs.

The nest is in the park, near the playground off of Dale Drive at the foot
of Hartford Ave (two blocks from Piney Branch).   A good spot to see them is
from the bike path, halfway between the playground and the bridge.
