The sparrow is on the grounds of the Damascus Izaak Walton League
which is private property. You can drive in but please do not go
wandering and do respect the club's property. The bird is at the
left end (facing downrange) of the shotgun range next to the access
road (near the PortaPot). There is a sign "To the airgun ranges" that
will point the way to where the sparrow hangs out in the top of the
coniferous trees. You do not need to wander onto the shotgun range.
Go in the club entrance and turn right at the first opportunity. Do
not go to the gun ranges (down the hill) but continue on the drive
behind the club house. There is parking behind the club house close
to the shotgun range.
If you would like to join the club (it is the Wildlife Achievement
Chapter and there are other activities other than shooting),
membership information and directions are available at the web site
http://www.damascusiwla.org.
