Spend much of yesterday at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center at
Cheltenham and was able to get in some birding just outside the compound at
Cheltenham Wetlands Park.

In the wetlands I saw or heard:

indigo bunting

acadian flycatcher

great crested flycatcher

northern parula

orchard oriole

prothonotary warblers - One has built its nest very close to the path about
a half mile in from Commo Road. At least two others were singing in the
park.

white-eyed vireo

scarlet tanager

On the grounds of FLETC:

bank swallows

pine warbler

ovenbird

kestrel

Along the Patuxent from the back of a CH-47 helicopter, besides very nice
views of the Hydrilla problem areas, I saw plenty of cormorants and several
active osprey nests.
