Construction continues in and around the Nature Center at
the park. That plus cloudy skies and a stiff breeze made
for a slower day overall, but I still managed 13 warbler
species: NORTHERN PARULA, CHESTNUT-SIDED, BLACK-THROATED
BLUE (many), YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER (dwindling),
BLACK-THROATED GREEN (also many), PRAIRIE (thanks to
some other birders at the Yard), BLACKPOLL,
BLACK-AND-WHITE (several), AMERICAN REDSTART, OVERBIRD,
COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, and HOODED WARBLER (first of year for
me). Others reported Nashville and Yellow while I was
there.
Also finally got my first WHITE-EYED VIREO of the season
(heard only). May have heard Acadian Flycatcher (once;
