Hi folks -

I apologize for the cross-posting, but thought this might be the first record of this species in the region this year.

This afternoon (4/8/07) Lauren Morgens and I watched a gorgeous male Black-throated Green Warbler foraging low along the edge of the woods near the Lighthouse at Turkey Point, Cecil Co., MD.

Also notable at Turkey Point: both Kinglets, Pine Warbler, Hermit Thrush, Fox Sparrow, LOTS of White-throated Sparrows, Eastern Towhee, Eastern Phoebe, Pileated and Hairy Woodpeckers, a flock of at least 10 Northern Flickers, Bald Eagle, Osprey.

Highlights at Plum Creek Pond in Elk Neck State Forest: Both Kinglets, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Pine Warbler, Brown Creeper and Bald Eagle.

Regards,
Matt
