Hi All,
   
  On my lunch break a friend and I walked over to National Airport to see what was around.  We had a very cooperative pair of Horned Grebes that came within 10 feet of shore.  The male was near breeding plumage - what a treat!  We also had a couple of scaup, and a pied bill Grebe.  The highlight probably was the Eastern Meadowlark out in the airport fields.  It was funny because I said - hey wouldn't it be nice if there was a horned lark or meadowlark was out there?  Within moments we got on one!  Now we need a 
   
  Also, the Peregrine Falcons are still sharing the railroad bridge with the courting Osprey.  It'll be interesting to see when they finally go north!
