11 were observed flying away yesterday (3/8/07)
evening.  As they flew north towards Burkittsville, 2
peeled off.  As they continued circling the area, 9
became 6 before i lost sight of them headed back
toward the pond.  They made an impressive sight flying
against the background of S. Mtn.  BTW, the "pond" is
the larger body of water several miles south of the
town.  My memory is that this us usually referred to
as the "Burkittsvile area pond" in MDOsprey.
