I got back from work today and the kids told me about a bird that had flown into one of the windows and been killed. I went outside and found it was a Fox Sparrow, something I've seen only once in the yard. Odd how the dead birds are often unusual ones - only ones I can recall in the near 6 yrs we've lived here have been Sharp-shinned Hawk, Hermit Thrush and Wood Thrush, the latter which I've never seen on our property, and now this (not all window strikes though). What happens to the dead juncos, White-crowned Sparrows etc/?
