Jean and I were at the OC inlet this afternoon at about 2:15.
Saw Bob and Marcia Balestri there who told us the TB Murre was
swimming off the south jetty. We soon found it. We were
joined by Betty Pitney and watched as the bird floated in from the
jetty and proceeded to float the entire length of the inlet near the
north shore.
When last seen at about 3:00 PM the bird was floating near the
Rt. 50 bridge on the south side. (Probably about 100 to 150
yards from the OC end of the bridge.) We had excellent
views of the TB Murre, a Horned grebe, a Common Loon, a
Red-throated Grebe, and RB Mergansers from a small boardwalk
area at the west end of Worcester Street ( @ north side of the
Coast Guard Station)
Thanks
