Hi Everyone,

I decided to try to twitch Bill Schreitz's two BRANT this afternoon, hoping that the rain would keep the birds around for the day. I arrived at 3:30 p.m. and found the large puddles on the beach full of gulls but lacking in geese. There were just two, but these were not disappointing: 1 Canada and 1 very small RICHARDSON'S GOOSE. Also present were 21 BONAPARTE'S GULLs that flushed from the flock of Laughing (~10), Ring-billed, Herring, and Great Black-backed Gulls as I approached. I checked each Bonaparte's to make sure no Black-headed or Little Gulls sneaked by. Six Ruddy Ducks floated in the marina.

Thanks for the post, Bill - nice find!

Good birding,

Bill
