I was taking photos at Meadowbrook Park today. Partly cloudy, windy
and about 45 degrees - brrr. As I was shivering while trying to
photograph Kinglets, a Clouded Sulphur butterfly flew by. I couldn't
believe it! A cold-blooded creature manages to fly, and I'm
freezing. Puts us mammals to shame.

Birds:
Great Blue Heron (2)
American Kestrel (1)
Red-shouldered Hawk (1)
Red-tailed Hawk (1)
Cooper's Hawk (1)
American Crow (8), no Common Ravens alas!
European Starling (~1000)
Golden-crowned Kinglet (dozens)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (~20)
Song Sparrow (at least 100)
White-throated Sparrow
The usual chickadees, titmice, cardinals, mockingbirds, etc.

Insects:
Clouded sulphur (1)
Gnats - probably what the kinglets were eating

Mammals:
Red fox (1)
A few people and dogs
