Hello all.
What started out as an average birding day in northern Anne Arundel County
became interesting very quickly with 2 Yellow-bellied Flycatchers and 4
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS seen at Weinberg Park and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER
at Compass Pointe Golf Course.
The Grosbeaks were seen in the trees above the park's 'entrance' and the
Yellow-bellied's were right behind one another and the Orange-crowned was a
1st year bird which I got some good looks at. In fact, I followed the bird
for some time as it foraged and must say that it was the bird of the day.
Also, a Bank Swallow and 11 Caspian Terns rounded out an odd assortmant of
species.
