I saw a MISSISSIPPI KITE in Darnestown, Montgomery County MD today at 3:30 pm. at the intersection of Springfield Road and Seneca Road (MD Rte 112).  It was flying southwest, then banked and circled once, then flew in a leisurely figure 8, then appeared to go for an insect (dragonfly? a number were in the air at the time), before heading north.  I watched it for approximately 3 minutes.  First one I have ever seen in the county.  - Don Simonson, Darnestown md
