Dear All 
In a quick spin round Roosevelt Island before work this morning the 
highlights were:
Orchard Oriole and Warbling Vireo both singing in the open trees by the car 
park.
4 Louisiana Waterthrushes, Yellow, Black & White and Yellow-rumped (30) 
Warblers plus 2 Catbirds.  Wood Thrush and Hooded Wabler (I think) singing 
but not seen.  Ace views of a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers feeding on the 
ground mashing up rotten logs.
Still lots of White-throated Sparrows although all those piping away in my 
back yard last week have now vanished.
