winds 4-16 mph.
Raptor Observations:
The flight didn't begin until 10 am and the skies and wind seemed to
promise more than they delivered. Still, a nice day with 12 species.
Non-raptor Observations:
Swallows streaming by: Trees, Barns, and Rough-wings. First Caspian Terns (4) and Chimney Swifts (2) of the season; seven Common Loons and 11 Bonaparte's Gulls.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest.
