I drove up River Rd this morning, ending up by the Patton Turf Farm. Highlights were:
- around 40 Purple Finch in the woods bordering the swamp along the first part of River Rd
- 9 species of sparrow - Fox (1) and White-crowned (6) along West Offutt Rd; American Tree still near the horse stables; others were Field, Savannah, Towhee and of course White-throated, Song and Junco
- many Flicker (around 40 in total for the day!)
- 2 Hermit Thrush
- flyover Rusty Blackbird, same spot as Purple Finch
- Bald Eagle (adult) soaring over the Patton Turf Farm
