Last Saturday I reported an Orange-crowned Warbler of the western subspecies on the Washington DC CBC. Marshall Iliff brought to my attention that this race had never been reported in the east. Consequently I reviewed my notes with him and the bird I saw was probably a female Wilson's Warbler with at least one plumage characteristic that is not mentioned in any book I have. The throat was brighter yellow than the rest of the underparts. Has anybody seen this before on a Wilson's?
