On the way back home to Westminster from viewing the Monkton flycatcher I
stopped at the ponds behind the Joseph A. Bank building near Black and
Decker in Hampstead because there were a large number (more than 1,000)
Canada Geese on and around the pond. I searched the flock hoping to find
something of interest and found at least one Cackling Goose near the
southeast corner of the impoundment. Also there was at least one Canada
Goose with a neck collar. The collar was red with white letters. The letters
were H6C6. If anyone knows to whom this belongs, I'd be happy to pass on the
information.
