We spent this morning previewing for the upcoming West friendship park trip. This is the first time I have been at the park in the fall. As I expected the habitat is great for sparrows. This park is not yet open to the public and we have special permission for the weekend trip.
4 LINCOLNS, 1 FOX and SAVANNAH, CHIPPING, FIELD, SONG, WHITE-CROWN, WHITE-THROAT and JUNCO.
5 PURPLE FINCHES, 2 NASHVILLE WARBLERS, 19 WOOD DUCKS and a MARSH WREN were the highlights of a pretty birdy day.
Just a heads up "marsh wren was in a MARSH" I wore knee boots and was the only one not wet. Walking was fairly easy though.
