At around 4 this afternoon, while sitting at this computer I saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk chasing a small bird. I'm on the 5th floor but still not high enough to see what the small bird was. House Sparrow maybe? The small bird was fast and 'weavy' enough to stay uncaught. And the SS Hawk eventually gave up.
  So I saw two different types of chases today. Because about 1/2 hour before the chase I just described, I saw an Eastern Kingbird chasing a Red-shouldered Hawk.
  In Columbia. The Mall area.
