Returned to National Arboretum this morning, from 8:45-9:45. Lots of singing, but the birds were playing hide-and-seek and the cool, cloudy weather dampened things a bit. All were seen in the Azalea collection:
* Black-Throated Blue Warbler (first of year, and first in DC)
* Northern Parula
* Yellow-Rumped Warbler
* Scarlet Tanager
* Red-Eyed Vireo
* Wood Thrush (2+)
* White-Throated Sparrow (small flock)
* Brown Thrasher
* Eastern Towhee
* Blue Jay
* Mockingbird
* Cardinal
* American Robin.
Plus a possible/likely Blue Grosbeak.
Good birding!
