Paul and I took today off in advance of making our first trip to 
our new Garrett Co. atlas block this weekend.  Were going to 
take a short walk down Weatheredsville Road in Leakin Park, 
when we were caught by all the activity in our own yard.   An 
hour and a half later, having walked up our block bit, given 
directions to passing car and talked to three neighbors we had 
this list of birds heard and seen, including at the feeders:

Mourning Dove
Chimney Swifts
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Pileated Woodpecker
BLUE-HEADED VIREO - We don't see this bird often.  I had 
two in my binoculars at one point.  I expect there were at least four.  
RED-EYED VIREO - My first of the season.
Blue Jay
American Crow
Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren
House Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Wood Thrush 
American Robin
European Starling
NORTHERN PARULA
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER (lots!)
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER
WORM-EATING WARBLER  - This was a first for our yard.  I've 
only rarely seen one.  We had some good unobstructed views.

Northern Cardinal
ROSE-BREASTED GROSSBEAK  (Singing away in good view.)
Common Grackle
Brown-headed Cowbird
American Goldfinch
House Sparrow. 

We did take the walk to Leakin Park, and among the species added was a 
singing CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER.
