Following Walter Ellison's post about the 95 Red-throated Loons at Eastern
Neck, I managed to find 1 RT LOON off the tip of Ft. McNair in DC. That was
this (Monday) morning.
OK, perhaps that doesn't quite qualify as a fallout in some areas, but I
think it does for DC.
This afternoon, on my way home, I swung through Hains Pt. again, and saw 2
GREATER YELLOWLEGS on the very flooded golf course.
Also around this morning and afternoon were 5 RUDDY DUCKS, c.40 RED-BREASTED
MERGANSERS, and c.10 HORNED GREBES. There were a few BONAPARTE'S GULLS on
the river too.
Good birding,
