Got out in the field today, spending most of my time in Kenilworth Park &
Aquatic Gardens in NE DC.  Here are some of the highlights:

 

  Double-crested Cormorant              large numbers on the river and
migrating north now

  Wood Duck                             c.17 birds

  Green-winged Teal                     c.15 birds

  Greater Scaup                         1 with Lessers in the Tidal Basin

  Red-breasted Merganser                3 in the Tidal Basin 

  Red-shouldered Hawk                   putting on a great show

  Horned Lark                           1 flew of KP 

  Tree Swallow                          c.10 over the marsh 

  American Pipit                        c.5 over KP

  Eastern Bluebird                      1 over KP 

  Fish Crow                             large, vocal flock at KAG 

  Yellow-rumped Warbler                 1 at KAG 

  Field Sparrow                         1 at KP, 2 at KAG 

  Fox Sparrow                           2 at KAG 

  Swamp Sparrow                         1 at KAG
