The Blue Jays seem to have come in great numbers to Talbot County this year.
I had 26 (maximum number seen together) at one of my feeding stations a few
days ago while doing project Feeder Watch (Cornell University Citizen
Science Project). Even on a non-snowy day I can readily attract about a
dozen to that site. Lots of Blue Jays seem to have been in this area all
winter, with many of my neighbors, even some non-birders, commenting about
them.

Subject: Re: [MDOSPREY] feeder birds
Hi--is anyone else noticing a weird absence of blue jays at their feeder?
Normally I would have a small flock of them alternating with the smaller
birds, but this year I can't recall having a single jay stop by to eat. Very
strange.
Do cardinals chase blue jays? I have many more cardinals than ever before.
