Hi all,
Since I haven't been out doing a lot of birding lately because of health
issues, I have been doing a lot of reading. I am halfway through a very good
book (whose title I will reveal later) and came across this small bit of
questionable but fascinating information. I will pose it as a quiz to all you
biologists and wanna-be biologists out there. I will offer one clue to start. If
no one correctly guesses than I will offer a few additional clues...
"One biologist claimed that a [this animal] could close its mouth in a
twenty-five thousandth of a second, the fastest-known reflex in the animal
kingdom."
Name the animal (hint; it is a bird). Bonus points for naming the book (ha,
ha).
Good luck!
