Hello everyone. After reviewing John Churchill's photo's I decided to leave work
early to check out the Gull situation in the park.
There was about 4 to 5 thousand Gulls down there. The only thing interesting
to report was two first year Lesser Black-backed Gulls and One Adult. It was
very windy and cold. After scanning for about 30 minutes all of the gulls jumped
up and went out farther away down river. It was like a white tornado.
Most of the Gulls were real close. Didn't even need a scope.
There was allot of Gulls farther out when I first got there
too, but in a few days when things freeze up, it
becomes easier scanning because the water will stay open at
the point in the park, and across at the Marina
All of the gulls concentrate around that open water.
