Around 1:30 today the Harlequin Duck was still in place near the
Wades Point Inn in Talbot County. It continues to keep company with a
female Bufflehead, and this time those two were feeding amongst four other
Buffleheads. I noted by the Wades Point Visitor log that some 20 or more
people stopped by for the viewings over the past few days.
There was no sign of any Cave Swallow, but the weather was
cloudy with light rain, so was not conducive to Swallow feeding.
At home, near Tunis Mills this morning:
A pair of Bald Eagles perched sweetly side-by-side
in a large oak tree
A pair of Hooded Mergansers flying rapidly upstream
over the creek
Some 50 or more Robins making a brief stop in early
morning
Over 30 House Finches - checking the feeders, but
did not stay long - this is
my largest group of the season.
