Hi --
Part of the problem is that there are *two* of these weird-looking hybrid
geese, one with pinkish legs, one with more white on the face and neck. I
agree with Rob Hilton, the necks were longer than the companion Canadas and
had a distinct curve or arch so would not dismiss Swan Goose (domestic type)
as one parent.
We were happy to see the four Cave Swallows well while they were still
flying low around the bridge. However no sign of grebe or loon today,
either...
