Cromwell Valley Park Hawkwatch - Sunday, October 31st 2004
With temperatures in the 70's, a west wind and mostly sunny skies, what a nice day to see
some migrating raptors! Our local Redtails were very active and gave us some trouble
distinguishing residents from migrants. Most of the Redshoulders were adults, beautiful birds
and always a joy to see. TOTALS:
Sharpies - 12
Coopers - 1
Redtails - 6 (probably more)
Redshoulders - 11
N. Harrier - 1 (immature male)
Un. Buteo - 7
Un. Accip. - 1
Number of observers - 7
Duration - 4 hours
Cromwell Valley Park is located in Parkville, MD.
