All,
A public thank you to Mike Bowen for the buff-breasted SP. We found it
thru our scope around 8 AM today. Another lifer for Laura and this time she
didn't have to endure an all-day boat ride to get it. There were at least 75
killdeer out there (Patton sod farm) along with starlings. Back toward
White's Ferry we saw 2 harriers harrassing a redtail on the ground at
another sod farm.
A follow up walk along the C&O yielded a nice look at a barred owl, a YB
cuckoo, prothonotary warbler and several billion* chickadees, titmice,
nuthatches and assorted woodpeckers. Pewees and acadians were still singing.
    Jerry
