Hello All,
        After lamenting the near demise of my local Bobwhite in this forum
last week, I heard one IN THE YARD from INSIDE THE HOUSE on Saturday
morning.  It was around for a half hour until I flushed it while trying to
locate it.  But while this is now an exciting event, it used to be
commonplace.

        In other news, we have had several visits from a Cooper's Hawk
within the last few days.  I am guessing that they are nesting in the area
around Oak Grove again this year, but not so near the house as last year.
