Hi birders
At Lake Elkhorn this morning, a big Cicada landed on my left elbow while I was looking at my years 2nd Common Yellowthroat. Besides a Belted Kingfisher, there was nothing 'special' there, Mallards, Canada Geese, two Mute Swans and American Crows. Then while I was leaving, thinking that there is nothing special for me to see here today, I took my small binoculars out of my pocket and got my first ever good look at a Wood Thrush. The Common Yellowthroat and the Wood Thrush were back near the 'swamp'. What's that spot called again?
