This morning between Violette's and the turning basin above Riley's I saw the
following migrants:
Female Red-breasted Merganser (in River just outside intake gate at
Violette's)
Buffleheads (a flock of 7-8 way out in the River)
Male Baltimore Oriole (singing in top of tree just up from Violette's)
Parula (several)
Scarlet Tanagers (5 males and a female clustered in one tree in picnic area
just downstream from Riley's!)
Yellowthroated Warbler (singing in tree just above Riley's)
Prothonotary Warblers (two interacting at upper end of turning basin)
I also heard a Great crested Flycatcher just below Riley's. Oh, and there
were a few (hundred) Yellow-rumps.
